Ombudspersons
As part of our ongoing endeavour to make OLMUN a safe space where young students from all around the globe can exchange and grow together, OLMUN e. V.’s 2023 general meeting has created the position of two ombudspersons who are directly elected by the general meeting.
Their main task (apart from some monitoring functions) is to put together a team of trust persons for the conference ahead, to ensure this team receives appropriate training by our external partner organisations, and to lead this team throughout the conference. They also serve as trust persons to the Inner Circle and can, of course, be directly addressed by any participant of the conference before, during or after OLMUN in case of whatever issue to provide quick and decisive support.
Feel free to contact us at any time via ombud@olmun.org or to directly approach us during the conference!

OLMUN-experience: In 2021, I joined the Inner Circle and became Chief of Press for the following year. I was immediately drawn in by the conference’s atmosphere and looked up to everyone who devoted so much time and effort to the organisation of this event. I met some of the most dedicated, hard-working people, some of whom I can now call best friends.
That led to me wanting to take on more responsibility and I had the honour of being elected to the Secretariat as Deputy Secretary General for 2023. That year in particular was an unforgettable experience for me and it is evidence of the incredible things young people can achieve together. At the last conference, I participated as a Trust Person, having helped to implement the awareness concept the previous year. Therefore, I am so grateful for the possibility of partaking as one of the Ombudspersons and actively contributing to making the conference a safe space for all participants, together with Ida. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all this summer in Oldenburg!

OLMUN-experience: My OLMUN journey started in 2023 when I participated as Chief of Photography. From the very beginning, I was amazed by the unique atmosphere of the conference—the energy, the collaboration, and the incredible dedication of everyone involved. It was inspiring to see so many young people coming together to create something extraordinary.
In 2024, I expanded my role by taking on the positions of Social Media Manager and Trust Person. These roles allowed me to work even more closely with the team, and I loved the opportunity to connect with participants from both Oldenburg and around the world. Each year, I have discovered new perspectives and gained valuable insights, making OLMUN an incredibly rewarding experience. For 2025, I am honoured to take on the role of Ombudsperson alongside my colleague Nina. I’m excited to continue working with such a dedicated and inspiring team while contributing to the supportive and open atmosphere that OLMUN is known for. I look forward to meeting all of you again this year and making OLMUN 2025 another unforgettable experience!
